About Me
I am passionate about protecting all life – people, animals, and our environment. We are all connected. I continue to widen my circle of compassion and to stand up for others. Through nonviolence, understanding, and learning I continue to deepen my connection with our world. I love discovering new whole-food, vegan recipes (especially those that I can share with friends!). I'm also an avid gardener with a goal to grow as much of my own food as possible. The joy of healthy food is a big part of my life. My yoga practice reminds me that healing comes from within. But I’ve also learned that, with the help of others on the path, our path to health is often easier. I am eager to share my belief that knowledge of yourself is the key. Give your body what it needs… and allow it to heal.
POLICIES
What to expect during your session…
Your session will start with a short intake interview so that we may discuss your medical history as well as your goals for the session. Your participation and communication is encouraged so that you can get the most out of your session. If at any time during your session you feel uncomfortable or are experiencing pain, please let me know so that the proper adjustments can be made.
Massage cupping is a bodywork technique and there is a possibility of a skin discoloration as tissue is released. This is not a bruise and it will dissipate within a few hours to a few days.
Confidentiality…
Your privacy is very important. All records including verbal and written communication between therapist and client will remain confidential and protected. The only exceptions will be if you have given written consent for your records to be released or your records are subpoenaed in accordance with state and federal law.
Privacy and Draping…
You will have complete privacy while you undress before your massage as well as while you dress after your massage. For your massage, you may undress completely or wear as much clothing as you feel comfortable with. During your massage, only the areas being worked on will be undraped.
I am also trained in bodywork modalities that do not require undressing.
Hygiene…
Massage inherently takes palace in a close environment. You can expect me to be clean and free of odor and strong fragrance; please do the same for me. Fresh sheets will always be used for each session.
If needed, I will be happy to change the time of your scheduled appointment. If you need to change an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you may be charged 50% for that appointment.
Inappropriate Behavior…
Massage therapy is therapeutic in nature and is in no way sexual. If a client makes any sexual advances or requests, the session will end immediately and full payment will be expected.
*If you have any sensitivity to coconut oil please inform me in advance.*
